Deepest Sympathies

A Celebration of Life for Claire Mahaffey is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025 in Faith Chapel. The service is at 10:00am and will be followed by a reception in the cafe. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the DAR Coushatti Trace Chapter for the Jill Mahaffey Scholarship.

On behalf of First Methodist Conroe, we’d like to extend our sincere condolences to family and friends who have lost a loved one. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

On the morning of Saturday, December 6th The Rev. Dr. Jerry Neff, husband, father, Papa, friend and pastor, was reunited with his parents and four brothers. What a glorious reunion it must of have been, but what a big hole it leaves in the lives of so many. In the words of one of his many friends, he had great faith, great love and great influence. Services will be held Thursday, December 11, at 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church of the Pines in Jasper, TX, and Saturday, December 13, at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Memorial United Methodist Church in Galveston, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial gifts go to UMC of the Pines at 740 Verna Street, Jasper, TX 75951. Both services will be live streamed for those who are not able to attend.

If you would like to speak with someone about your grief, the church has several resources to help. Stephen Ministry pairs trained congregation members with those experiencing loss.
